it's been too long-merry christmas!

loving the new banner. how adorable and nostalgic!

So, as you've probably expected, a long break means lots of new stuff! New clothes and new household items and for anthropologie, a new brand!

Welcome, leifsdottir! My mom is absolutely enamored with this brand. It's also made history as the first anthro brand not exclusively sold at anthro! You can find leifsdottir at nordstrom, bloomingdales, etc.

My mama's Christmas gift. =] It's by Leifsdottir and is called the "Blossoming Rainfall Top." My only beef is, I think Leifsdottir is more expensive than the other anthro brands. When this top went on sale, it was still $80, marked down from $148! Then again, anthro has never been known for its affordability.

My Christmas gift! Among a few, lol.

Oh goodness, I have so much to catch up on. Get ready, here we go!

"Pick-A-Peck Blouse"
Panels of pleats both front and back add to the charm of crocheted and ruffled rows, cap sleeves and a mandarin collar. By Edme & Esyllte. $19.95 marked down from $78

"Rococo tank" Poised between two slender straps, a scalloped festoon is ready to peek out from beneath jackets and v-necks. By Eloise. Regularly priced at $19.95! What a steal!

I'd been wanting this for so long. "Stellar Parallax Necklace" Worn long or double-looped, otherworldly green beads whisper and cascade, balanced by robust wooden globes. Originally $40, but I got it for half off! =]

I waited and waited and watched this top slip from $118, to $49.99, to $29.99, when I pounced. To my chagrin, it's now going for $9.99, although to be fair, it's now sold out of my size. Still a great deal, I think. "Dotted Path top"Make your way through a raspberry-hued trail of miniature silk dots, handsome pleating and a loosely tied neck. By Sanctuary.

I'm very particular about camis for some reason. I found this one to meet my needs. It's called the "Cartography Camisole." A polka-dot bow hangs at the tip of frilly scalloped lace, a pretty point of interest under hoodies and jackets. By Eloise. Again, only $19.95!

The "Tie-and-Fold Tank." An ample collection of braiding and pleats spice-up Rails' bubble hem tank. Unfortunately, the weather changed right after I bought it, so I haven't been able to wear it yet. =[ Booooo.

Loved the "Grade Book Top" so much, I got it in 3 colors! Amazingly, they were all in my size, even though they were on sale for $29.95 instead of $58. This soft knit blouse from RicRac is top of the class, earning an A+ for its balloon hem, pearly buttons and loose necktie.

Surprisingly enough, this has actually become one of my favorite tops. It's Splendid's "Hanging Vines Tee." Delicate vines flourish on a leafy green pima cotton blend. With shirred sleeves and a flouncy fabric overhang. And at only $19.95 [[as opposed to $78!], I love the price as well. =]

This is another favorite. The "Lotus Leaf Jacket." Curved grey-and-fuchsia branches grow wild on Elevenses' corduroy coat, styled with half sleeves and an inverted back pleat. Another great bargain at $90 instead of $178. Just so cute and stylish.

I'd been waiting for this top for a while. Even though I do have some reservations about spending $40 on a simple cotton tee, I loved it so much, I decided to splurge. The "Cabbage Rose Tee" A voile-trimmed garden grows on soft jersey, blooming wildly from the flowy hem to the loosely tied neck. By Left of Center. Well, at least I didn't have to spend $68.

I really wasn't expecting much out of this belt; I bought it mostly out of curiosity when I saw it online. However, I've ended up wearing it more often than any of my other belts. Love it! It's called the "Shape Shifter Belt." Topstitched leather links add definition to your flowy shifts and long cardigans. $29.95 instead of $48

This may look familiar. Probably because I posted it in my last blog. I ended up getting the "Boat Wake Chemise" because it became half off to $39.95. Waves of Swiss dotted ruffles flow from a lace-trimmed panel. Lilka completes this shipshape nightie with a soft jersey top.

Adding to my growing chemise collection, I acquired the "Counterpoint Chemise" and it just may be the prettiest chemise I ever did see. =] An ebony lace print pops against an ivory jersey background, creating a striking study in contrast by Eloise. It's still on sale for $40 instead of $78 in all sizes, so hurry over and grab it now!

And here are today's purchases:

This would look so sharp with a pencil skirt. "His-N-Hers Blouse." A cotton voile creation from Edme & Esyllte that combines feminine pleats and ruffles with a menswear-inspired tuxedo bib. Still available! $39.95 instead of $68!

Kinda nervous about those shoulders. I hope it turns out well because I'm in love with the print! But at only $19.95 [[instead of $78!]], I can't go wrong. "Brushstrokes Blouse" Daubs of ivory, celadon and leaf hues dot RicRac's fluid surplice top with impressionistic color.

You guys have no idea how long I've been waiting for the "Antebellum Blouse" to go on sale. Finally, finally, FINALLY! $19.95 instead of $98. A romantic silhouette from Ella Moss, with an airy grace evoked by a lacy yoke, flutter sleeves and a draped bodice. I love Ella Moss, but her stuff is always so expensive!! Oh man do I love holiday sales! =]

The "Wolffia Skirt" wasn't initially my favorite skirt, but after examining it up close and it being marked down to $19.95 from $98, I decided to go for it. Here's to hoping it'll look good on my body type. A super-soft A-line from Odille, embroidered with a crop of the world's smallest flowers.

"Dinner-For-Two Dress" This floaty romantic number, with a pieced bodice and a spark of berry lining, begs to paired with soft candlelight and a bottle of fine wine. By Moulinette Soeurs. My mom loved loved loved this dress on me, but I didn't think it was worth $168. Fortunately, it went on sale for $39.95

"Bleecker Sheath" Didn't like it at first, then saw it in an episode of Gossip Girl and then a judge on Top Design wearing it, and changed my mind. Azure roses lend an indigo mood to Yoana Baraschi's form-fitting, above-the-knee poplin dress. Was $168, but I found it for $39.95 [[I actually got the very last one in my size in any store nationwide!]]

Going along with Yoana Baraschi, who is quickly becoming one of my favorite designers is the "Cooled Lava Dress." I just love the name, because if you look at the embroidery at the hem of the dress, you totally get it. The embroidery is simply stunning. Abstract plumes and droplets, appliqued against sheer black tulle, recall forgotten volcanic landscapes. By Yoana Baraschi. This was another splurge. $119.95, but still better than its original price of $228.

My heart stopped when I saw the "Souris River Overcoat" I had been drooling over finally on sale. I had been lusting over it, but was still hesitant to spend $348 on a coat, but when I saw it in this picture in The Sartorialist, I knew I had to get it...imagine how thrilled I was to find it on sale for $149.95 and in my size!!!! The palest grey wool twill hosts a brook of ruffles at its jeweled placket; faceted buttons recall iced waters in chilled northern climes. By Manoush.

Thought I'd try this one out. It's called the "Treetop Coat." I love the design, but I'm afraid it might not fit properly. [[Oh the woes of being short!]]] An eyeful of brilliant green backs a leafy flower pattern. The mock collar, textured lining and button cuffs protect against fall winds. By Elevenses. Got it for $149.95 instead of $228.

Gotta love the name of this one: "Knotty Pine Sweater" Does this remind anyone of "Naughty Pine Sweater?" I totally think of a pine tree dressed in some lingerie...it just makes me smile lol. Can't believe I found it for $39.95 instead of $148. In-store sales are the best. Like tangled roots or twined branches, thick felted wool traces the collar of half-sleeved sweaterknit. By Moth.

And I have the BEST story about this one. I have long lusted after this dress, even though it's been sold out for ages. Well I walked into my local anthro and do mine eyes deceive?! There it is! And yes, a size too big, but I figure I'll try it on anyways. It just needs a little teensy bit of work, so I decided to go for it. A belt loop is broken so I figured I could get a discount on the marked sale price of $89.95. I get to the register, and the lady agrees to give me a discount. Then she rings it up and it comes out to be only $19.95!!! Yes, as in $20!!!!!!! And she still gives me a 10% discount on top of that!!!!! Best bargain I've ever encountered an Anthro for sure!!! "Globemallow Dress." Dove-grey modal rolls and weaves atop a faux-layered inset, while a silk skirt springs to life with desert petals and checkerboard trim. By one.september. Originally $188.

Whew! Told ya I'd been busy! Lol

On my want list:

I want this coat desperately! It's the Eastern Flyaway coat going for $149.95 instead of $328, but completely sold out in my size! =[

"Cabbage Hill dress" Leafy ruffles of textured silk take root at the neckline of Dolan's floaty frock as woven cotton creates a wide-open keyhole at the nape. $248

"In-The-Wings Sheath" Steal a moment in smoke-grey sateen, strung with topstitched roses and accompanied by side pockets. By Yoana Baraschi. $168.
